day one

After years and months and days of contemplating to create this collection of pixels and code and Internet magic to form a coherent bunch of words to highlight “Me”, I finally did it. FINALLY. *insert happy dance here*

But let us begin with the formalities, shall we?

Hi! I’m Dani, the author of this awesome blog. As you can tell from the blog title, I do daydream, as a matter of fact. More oftenly than I should, actually. Well, that’s how creative minds are (ha ha dani ha ha). But enough of me in this post, you can check my About page to fill you in. It’s right up there in the Menu. Yep. There it is.

I think the most important question of this whole post (more like blog, really), is why? Why did I start this thing? Why did I create this collection of pixels and code and Internet magic to form a coherent bunch of words to highlight “Me”?

There are two answers to that:
1. Training
Training for what? If you have read my About page, you will know that I am a BA Organizational Communication student. Therefore, in order to communicate effectively, I will have to hone my skills in oral and written communication. Oh, and I heard and saw after a bit of researching about my course that there is this one major that requires us to start a blog and write about…something. So that’s that.

2. My blogger friends
Wow, and I thought “blogger friends” was such a huge word. My beloved Block 9 has some pretty talented people in there (including me) ((woops conceited much hahahahaha)). Finding out that this whole bunch of people I spent almost five days a week with had these blogs that were incredibly awesome made me kinda inferior. Their writing was amazing. Their achievements were amazing. They were amazing. Period. But then I thought, “If they can do it, why can’t I?”

The only thing that was stopping me was myself. Like everything had to be perfect. I would start at this time to chronologically plan my blog posts and record my life events and all that crap. Then there’s the dilemma of a ton of school work and my more-than-stress-inducing-but-nonetheless-absolutely-amazing college org (I’m currently a trainee of the UP Manila Chorale woop). I just never found the time to actually plan and organize and write for my blog. Don’t get me wrong, I have this whole notebook full of random writings (it’s like instead of doodling, I write), but I don’t think they’re all worthy of a blog. But better than nothing, right?

Christmas break just started and I’ve got this bunch of time on my hands, so why not start now?

Anyway, that’s just a backstory on why I decided to start this blog :)) back to my “blogger friends”, no words I can come up with can describe how awesome these people are. Not just one or two, but all of them gave me the utmost inspiration to start this gig of mine. So I encourage all of you to check them out 🙂

Marc Teng (Marc In Style) ((sml <3)) | Jelou Galang (A Jelouish Narration) ((THIS GIRL IS GONNA GO PLACES IN THE FUTURE I LOVE HER SO MUCH <3)) | Gela Tangente (Shooting Reader) | Trojan Pabico (Genetically Eccentric) | Katrina Perolino (Bookish and Brainy) | Chel Asuncion (Je crains ton attentes) | Kyna Marquez (La Spontané) ((she’s just starting out just like me!!))

Most of all, thank you, dear reader. You’re helping me make my (day)dreams come true. DFTBA nerds ❤
